YOUR APPOINTMENT

At your first appointment, we will discuss your desired colour and shape. Once we both agree on the colour and shape, Lottie will then take your before photos. Lottie will then clean your brow area and begin the drawing process. The drawing process can take up to 1 hour. Once you are 100% happy with the shape, Lottie will then mix up the colour/s chosen and begin the tattooing process. The tattooing process can take up to 2.5 hours. Lottie will then run you through the aftercare instructions and take your after photos. This sitting is a total of 4 hours.

Once your tattoo has completely healed (6 weeks later), you will come in for your second sitting. Brow tattooing is a 2 step process. This sitting is where we see how well the pigment has held and we can slightly adjust colour and shape if needed. This sitting is a total of 2.5 hours.

AFTERCARE

  • Limit your showers to 5 minutes - avoid a hot steamy shower/bath until tattoo peeling is complete.

  • Do NOT get your tattoo wet for 2 weeks (until peeling is complete).

  • Avoid washing your hair for 1 week (please see a hairdresser if needed, NO blow drying with heat).

  • Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep.

  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away - picking can cause scarring and loss of colour.

  • Do NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face until peeling is complete.

  • NO facials, botox or chemical treatments for 4 weeks.

  • NO facial cleansers on the treated area for 4 weeks.

  • NO exercise for 7 days.

  • NO sweating for 7 days.

  • NO direct sun exposure or tanning for 3 weeks.

  • NO face-down swimming until peeling is complete.

  • NO makeup and sunscreen on the area until peeling is complete.

HEALING GUIDE

  • DAY 1 \\ The colour will look bold and warm.

  • DAY 2-4 \\ Your brows will look bold and feel tender.

  • DAY 5 \\ Your brows will start to feel dry, itchy and may start peeling.

  • DAY 6-14 \\ Your brows will be in the peeling stage.

  • DAY 14 \\ Peeling should almost be complete. The top layer of your skin has healed. Your skin is still in the healing stage, therefore you will not see true colour until week 6.

  • DAY 45 \\ Your skin has completely healed!

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BROWS ONCE HEALED

  • Protect your tattoo with sunscreen whilst in the sun.

  • Avoid using chemical exfoliants on your brows.

  • Avoid laser treatments near your brow area.

  • Additional brow products may still be required post procedure to achieve your desired look. Eyebrow tattooing should look natural and soft as we are only enhancing the shape of your natural eyebrows, it may not replace brow products.

HOW LONG DOES BROW TATTOOING LAST?

Brow tattooing generally last between 1-10 years however, traces of pigment may always remain in the skin. 12-24 month refreshers are recommended to maintain the colour and shape of your brow tattoo.

DOES BROW TATTOOING HURT?

The pain level for lip tattooing varies between clients. Brow tattooing can be a little uncomfortable for those who are more sensitive. The majority of our clients have said the pain level is 2/10.

HOW MANY SITTINGS WILL I NEED?

Brow tattooing takes 2-3 sittings to complete. Please do not judge your healing journey to a friend's as everyone heals differently. The amount of sittings needed will depend on the individual.
